Here’s my 36th autumn!

A Special Birthday letter for myself on my 36th autumn

For the first time, I was able to vote.

And I never felt so proud.

I love you, Philippines.

I cry in sadness whenever I think of you.

I feel the pain of losing you once again.

I lose all the will to live once in a while.

But every time despair eats all the sanity left in me, I remember how we looked in each other’s eyes on that day.

You want me to live instead of you.

Your voice still lingers inside me.

Your songs keep me vividly alive.

Your existence will always be the light that guides me in these dark times.

I will always miss you.

Until the day we meet again.
